  1. 01

    You decide what is removed

Suggestions come from patterns, checksums, word lists and the language and text recognition built into your operating system. They can miss information and can mark information that should stay. Review every page of every document before you share, file or publish a redacted copy.

  2. 02

    What the checks show

Before saving, RedactFirst checks that the specific texts and areas you chose are gone and that the file carries no hidden content, as listed in each copy's report. A passed check does not mean that every sensitive or private detail in the document has been removed.

  3. 03

    No legal or compliance claims

Nothing on this site or in the app is legal advice. We do not claim that RedactFirst, its templates or its reports satisfy HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, FOIA, court rules or any other law, standard or contract. Rule templates are examples of common office uses. Whether your results meet your obligations is for you and your advisers to decide.

  5. 05

    Full terms

Warranty and liability terms for the app are in the license agreement; for this site, in the terms of use.
